About the Author
Elizabeth Cook's work includes fiction, poetry, and libretti. Her novel, Lux (Scribe), connects the Biblical story of David and Bathsheba with the 16th century poet,Thomas Wyatt. She is the author of the fiction, Achilles (Methuen and Picador USA), the poetry collection, Bowl (Worple), and a pamphlet, The Sound of the Rain (The Garlic Press). She has created the libretti for Francis Grier's oratorios, The Passion of Jesus of Nazareth, and Before all Worlds, the latter a Nativity setting. She has been a Hawthornden Fellow and was St Edmundsbury Cathedral's first Writer in Residence. She is currently a Fellow of the Royal Literary Fund. She grew up in Dorset and now lives in East London.
