Description

This collection follows Bowl from Worple and The Sound of Rain from Garlic Press. It explores the dynamics of presence and absence. There is lament but also affection and delight.

About the Author

She is the author of the fiction, Achilles (Methuen and Picador USA), the poetry collection, Bowl (Worple), and a pamphlet, The Sound of the Rain (The Garlic Press). She has created the libretti for Francis Grier's oratorios, The Passion of Jesus of Nazareth, and Before all Worlds, the latter a Nativity setting. She has been a Hawthornden Fellow and was St Edmundsbury Cathedral's first Writer in Residence. She is currently a Fellow of the Royal Literary Fund. She grew up in Dorset and now lives in East London.

Reviews
Necessary, sustaining poems that brim with luminous insights and remind us time and time again that there is another world and it is in this one. Michael Laskey Such richness and movement, honesty, humour,;imagination, connectedness. Paul Mills;Elizabeth Cook can take an image (fruitfully) further than I would have thought possible. The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
