Reviews
Praise for Warlock
"Once again, with uncanny wit, outrageous humor, consistent inventiveness and perception as slick, quick and lethal as an ice pick, Harrison demonstrates why he is the dean of that school of contemporary American novelists that also includes Thomas McGuane and Richard Brautigan."-The Sacramento Bee
"[Jim Harrison is] a writer with immortality in him."-Sunday Times (UK)
"Dashiell Hammett's low-rent realism made the mystery novel fun to read. Warlock demonstrates that it is equally enjoyable to spoof."-Time
"Contemporary macho in a funhouse mirror . . . a hybrid born out of Faulkner's dark hero of Satoris and all the Buster Keaton comedy that we love."-Los Angeles Herald Examiner
"Warlock will not let Harrison's following or reputation down . . . Intense sensitivity to the strangely fragile yet resistant constitution of the human psyche. A tour de force."-Booklist
