Description

Education is in a state of continual change and schools ever more diverse. People want more participation and meaning in their lives; organisations want more creativity and flexibility. Building on these trends, this timely book argues that a new paradigm is emerging in education, sowing the seeds of a self-organising system that values holistic democracy. It is an essential read for anyone (academics, policy-makers, practitioners, students, parents, school sponsors and partners) who is interested in how education can broaden its horizons.

About the Author
Professor Philip Woods holds a Chair in Educational Policy, Democracy and Leadership at the University of Hertfordshire, UK, as well as being Co-director of FreeSpirit Education and Vice Chair of the British Educational Leadership Management and Administration Society. He is an internationally recognised scholar with extensive research experience and publications in the field of educational leadership and policy.

Reviews
"I can think of few colleagues who write with the insight, fluency and passion on the subject of democracy and schooling than Philip Woods. The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
