Reviews
'If you are looking for that something different, the suite of pieces Today, This Spring by Libby Larsen may suffice . . . It drives forward incessantly, with a dramatic yet supportive accompaniment, reaching a magnificent climax in the last page . . . A slow, lyrical melody, set simply to mainly crotchet and minim rhythms, firstly in unison then simple two-part, connects so movingly to the text 'If I can stop one hear from breaking, I shall not live in vain'. Sometimes, as in this case, the most simple music can be the most appealing. * Music Teacher Oct 99 *
