Description

Omega-level mutant Elixir must come to terms with his anti-mutant upbringing while fighting off vampiric mermen and a leviathan of ancient lore in this intense survival adventure from Marvel's School of X

Once, Joshua Foley hated mutants, then he became one. It's... problematic. When his healing powers manifested, the violent anti-Mutant Reavers rejected him and only the X-Men offered sanctuary. Now he's surrounded by mutants who still see him as their enemy. A deep-sea training mission isolates him with a select team of new X-Men, which is bad enough, but then the attacks begin. A sect of sea monster-worshiping vampire mermen besiege the base, leaving them stranded and trapped. As the attacks escalate, their chances of survival plummet. Things go from awful to even worse when one of their team begins sabotaging their attempts to call for help, all in the name of a sleeping behemoth soon to awake...

About the Author
TRISTAN PALMGREN is the author of the critically acclaimed genre-warping blend of historical fiction and space opera novel Quietus, and its sequel Terminus. They have been a clerk, a factory technician, a university lecturer, a cashier, a secretary, a retail manager, a rural coroner's assistant. In their lives on parallel Earths, they have been an ant farm tycoon, funeral home enthusiast, professional con-artist impersonator, laser pointer chaser, and the person who somehow landed a trademark for the word "Avuncular." Jealous. They live with their partner in Salem, Virginia.

Reviews
"5 Star - It's a really good plot and an awesome reward if you have been reading the other novels!" -- Big Geordie Geek
"I don't now how Tristan Palmgren came up with the idea of throwing these characters into a horror story like this, all whilst dealing with intense drama centred around trauma, but it's an absolutely genius concept. This is easily my favourite novel in this series, and possibly my favourite Marvel novel that Aconyte have done." -- Trans-Scribe
"I gave The Siege of X-41 five stars. It's a nice story of redemption and personal discovery, though the undersea setting made me a bit claustrophobic." -- Chris L. Owens
"Honestly I couldn't put it down once I had started and after getting a little more sympathetic to Josh. As you know I always try to avoid spoilers but the ending of the novel was brilliant." -- What You Tolkien About

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
