Description

The Great Pyramid is a lively place to work. The only irritation is Antef, the fussy, bullisome supervisor who makes everyone feel more like slaves than free workers: so much so that they end up going on strike to protest against him! When Antef disappears, the workers are blamed. The only witness is Dafia, but she stays silent to protect her father. However, she decides to come up with a plan to clear the men's names, and the only way to do that is to prove that Antef is alive. But how?

Following on from the success of Tudor Tales - combined sales of over 11,500 copies since June 2003 - another highly-illustrated historical fiction series which is destined to be just as successful, with an even wider international appeal. One of the Tudor Tales, The Prince, the Cook and the Cunning King, has been chosen as a World Book Day 2004 Recommended Read. The series has been widely acclaimed: "These are hilarious books full of all sorts of facts from the amusing to the stomach-churning" - Education Today. "A treat to savour" - Five to Eleven. Egyptians is a subject area for study in Key Stage 2 History lessons. These stories are rooted firmly in historical fact. Brilliantly illustrated with humour and attention to detail by top artist, Helen Flook.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
