Description

In Amsterdam, three people are butchered in a canal house, their remains arranged around the crucified form of their patriarch, De Jaager: fixer, go-between, and confidante of the assassin named Louis. The men responsible for the murders are Serbian war criminals. They believe they can escape retribution by retreating to their homeland.
They are wrong.

For Louis has come to Europe to hunt them down: five killers to be found and punished before they can vanish into the east.
There is only one problem.
The sixth.

About the Author
John Connolly is author of the Charlie Parker mysteries, The Book of Lost Things, the Samuel Johnson novels for young adults and, with his partner, Jennifer Ridyard, co-author of The Chronicles of the Invaders. John Connolly's debut - EVERY DEAD THING - introduced the character of Private Investigator Charlie Parker, and swiftly launched him right into the front rank of thriller writers. All his subsequent novels have been Sunday Times bestsellers. He was the winner of the 2016 CWA Short Story Dagger for On the Anatomization of an Unknown Man (1637) by Frans Mier from NIGHT MUSIC: Nocturnes Vol 2. In 2007 he was awarded the Irish Post Award for Literature. He was the first non-American writer to win the US Shamus award and the first Irish writer to win an Edgar award. BOOKS TO DIE FOR, which he edited with Declan Burke, was the winner of the 2013 Anthony, Agatha and Macavity awards for Best Non-Fiction work.

Reviews
A gripping crime thriller with elements of the horror and supernatural genres cleverly blended into the mix . . . Connolly uses language with a rather dry sardonic wit colouring his writing and often bringing a wry smile to the reader's face * The Afterword *
Charlie Parker . . . is one of modern crime fiction's most popular creations, a unique combination of a man who has one foot in the temporal world and the other in the spirit world . . . dark and sometimes deeply unsettling * Irish Independent *
Connolly has long held a reputation for writing the best villains, and they are no disappointment in The Nameless Ones * crimefictionlover.com *
Another riveting thriller from Connolly, one of the world's greatest genre writers . . . a breathless international chase thriller and, as Connolly's legion of fans already know, you will gladly go without sleep in order to finish it * hotpress.com *
Connolly makes all his characters, even the most evil, multifaceted, while keeping his audience on the edge of their seats . . . This is another intelligent and haunting nail-biter. * Publishers Weekly *

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
