Her books have been a Burt Award for teen/young adult Caribbean literature finalist (Musical Youth), official selection for the Governor's Summer Read Challenge in the USVI (With Grace), among other distinctions. Danielle Boodoo-Fortune is a poet and visual artist from Sangre Grande, Trinidad and Tobago. She has illustrated several children's and young adult books, and her paintings have been exhibited in the Caribbean and abroad.
