Description

The world is exhibiting the urgent need for sustainable change. In his first book, Curt Blattner introduces a new approach fit for the modern workforce which encourages sustainable interactive leadership - placing the dialogue between leaders and teams at the centre of development. Based on his experiences in leading positions of the international retail giant, Nestle, Blattner shares his stories and the model used to support the globally successful coffee retailer. Blattner draws influence from the Swiss direct democratic governance and non-hierarchical politics and applies them to leadership to sustainably create high-performing teams for the future.

The Heartbeat of Excellence offers a detailed alternative to changing culture for anybody to understand and follow fostering a human process with Emerging Change, creating high performing human relations, and consequently installing change sustainably, the Swiss Way.

Curt has had an extensive career at Nestle including the construction and leadership of a global group of internal consultants for continuous improvement. Reviews
"The Heartbeat of Excellence brings to mind the phrase, 'Culture eats strategy for breakfast.' Curt's book is concerned with putting people first in change processes and workplace structures. This is a timely read with an unexpected Swiss twist." - Alois Zwinggi, Member of the Managing Board, World Economic Forum
"Success remains, in many areas, essentially a result of functioning human relationships, despite tremendous progress in technology. The foundations of such effective working relations are respect, tolerance and appreciation of diversity. Curt always highlighted the importance of such interpersonal relations during his personal life. - Stefan Palzer, Executive Vice Precident and Chief Technology Officer, Nestle S.A.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
