About the Author

Daniel Aubrey is the author of the acclaimed Orkney Mysteries series. Dark Island, the series' first instalment, was shortlisted for the McDermid Debut Award 2024 and the Bloody Scotland Debut Prize 2024, and longlisted for Scotland's National Book Award for First Book of the Year. It has been translated into four languages, and is in development for TV adaptation.

A former journalist living in Scotland, Daniel was diagnosed with autism and ADHD in his early forties. He is obsessed with all things Orkney, and holds an MLitt in Orkney and Shetland Studies from the Institute of Northern Studies in Kirkwall.

Found a hard to get book…
