About the Author
Rosemary Walker worked for many years as a diabetes specialist nurse and has been at the forefront of national initiatives to improve diabetes care. Her philosophy is to acknowledge people's ability to make their own decisions about what is right for them. In 2002, she founded In Balance Healthcare UK with fellow diabetes nurse, Jill Rodgers, to provide training for people with diabetes and for health professionals, to make diabetes services more effective. Rosemary's present company, Successful Diabetes, provides information, workshops, and resources for living and working with diabetes. She is an established writer of books, articles, and comment about diabetes, including the book Diabetes: A practical guide to managing your health (DK 2004) with Jill Rodgers.
