Description

Who's cooking in the school kitchen? Join the super-sleuthing Cryptid Club in The Chupacabra Hoopla, the third book in the hilarious graphic novel chapter book series from Emmy Award-winning writer Michael Brumm and bestselling illustrator Jeff Mack.

The Cryptid Club is hungry for a new adventure! When the school lunches go missing and mysterious spaghetti-sauce tracks lead to the woods, Lily has no choice but to enlist the help of her main nemesis, Daisy, to help catch the crook.

But as the school continues to go without any food, the starving students begin fighting over the last crumbs. Then, the school custodian reports that his sandwich was stolen by a large-eyed creature with sharp claws! Can Lily, Henry, Oliver, Ernie, and Daisy solve the mystery of the Chupacabra before the entire school turns into the hunger games?

Everything is not as it seems in this laugh-out-loud graphic novel series debut by Emmy Award-winning writer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Michael Brumm and bestselling illustrator Jeff Mack.

About the Author
Michael Brumm is a writer/producer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He's also been a consulting producer for At Home with Amy Sedaris and a four-time Emmy-winning writer for The Colbert Report. He is the coauthor of the children's book His Royal Dogness and has written for various magazines and video games. Michael currently lives in New York City with his wife, Camille, and their two little cryptids, Henry and Bea. Jeff Mack spent most of his childhood drawing monsters, making comic books, and building haunted houses in his basement. He has spent most of his adulthood doing the same things. Since 2003, he has written and illustrated a long list of award-winning picture books, chapter books, and early readers, including the Clueless McGee series; Good News, Bad News; Hush Little Polar Bear; Duck in the Fridge; and Frog and Fly. He has also illustrated many books for other authors, including James Howe's Bunnicula and Friends series and Eve Bunting's Hurry! Hurry! At home in Northampton, Massachusetts, he travels both nationally and internationally visiting schools and libraries to talk with kids about creating books.

Reviews
"Mack's comical, goggle-eyed figures have outsize emotions, and the frequent sight gags keep the tone cheery and light. A joke-filled monster story about being open-minded while examining the facts, The Cryptid Club checks all the right boxes." - Booklist

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
