Her designs have appeared in Interweave Knits, Creative Knitting, KnitScene, Family Circle Knitting, Vogue Knitting and Cast On, along with other knitting and crochet magazines. Heather is a freelance designer for major yarn companies. She teaches classes at her local yarn shop in Buffalo, New York, where she lives with her family.
