Reviews
"The Anglo-American Tradition of Liberty
is an enlightening book which is a very worthwhile read for those seeking an understanding of the peculiar English-speaking political culture that combines aEUROoea love of liberty, combined with sense of duty." - Bradtolppanen, A Blog on Winston ChurchillA personal, perceptive and illuminating journey by a continental European admirer of the Anglo-American tradition of liberty. He conducts us, both intellectually and personally through the lives and works of some of its greatest thinkers. A delightful book.
Timothy Garton Ash, Professor of European Studies, University of Oxford, UK & Senior Fellow Hoover Institution, Stanford University, USA
Practical reason must be defended on its own terms and not merely as the residue of a noble tradition. So the necessary critique of rationalism must culminate in a recovery of authentic reason, beginning with practical reason. Espada's book, an act of intellectual recovery of a high order, helpfully points in the right direction.
