Since the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979, Pakistan has faced the threat of terrorism in different forms and shapes. Yet in recent years the threat has taken on a new dimension. N. Elahi is Honorary Director of the Centre for Peace and Security Studies at the University of the Punjab. He holds a PhD from the University of the Punjab and an MA in Intelligence and National Security from King's College London.
