About the Author
Richard Nelson's plays include The Michaels, The Gabriels, The Apple Family Plays, Goodnight Children Everywhere (Olivier Award, Best Play) and An Actor Convalescing in Devon. With Richard Pevear and Larissa Volokhonsky, he has translated plays by Chekhov, Gogol, Turgenev and Bulgakov. He is an honorary associate artist of the RSC and recently directed his play Notre Vie Dans l'Art at the Theatre du Soleil in Paris, translated by Ariane Mnouchkine. Since 2024, he has worked with Theater on Podil in Kyiv.
