Description

'Sketch Your Art Out' is more than just a basic drawing guide. It seeks to inspire artists to work and live off their art, whether their practice is a longtime passion or just a passing hobby. From teaching the basics of design, to navigating the increasingly digital world of art selling, master artists Katy Lipscomb and Tyler Fisher share their knowledge. Includes insider tricks for how to create a viable business plan and successfully sell your art.

About the Author
In August of 2011, a sweet girl named Katy sat next to a new kid named Tyler in art class, and they fell in love at first sight. Together they have pushed to stretch the limits of each others' creativity, while also expanding their own personal aesthetics. Katy and Tyler invite you into their sketchbook, which solidifies all that they've learned through years of practice and experimentation. They can't wait to sketch with you! Georgia based artist, Katy Lipscomb, has had a passion for drawing since she was a little girl. Now in her early twenties, she has turned that passion into a thriving career through the use of social media. Katy has been taken part in a number of collaborations with companies such as ModifyWatches and Patreon. She has also been interviewed by NPR for innovative use of the popular smartphone app, Vine. Now, she is excited to be able to bring you this book in partnership with Blue Star Press. Tyler is a sucker for a good story. Utilizing collaboration and appropriation, Tyler's sculptures blend his own life experiences with those of a greater sociological impact. Often using materials that are undervalued or overlooked, Tyler collects and decontextualizes emblematic imagery in order to tell engaging stories of his own creation. If found, return to Katy immediately.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
