About the Author

Lo Cole grew up surrounded by puppets, props and craft paraphernalia because his writer-dad and illustrator-mum created children's television shows for the BBC. At university Lo was thrown off his illustration course, but when he started working his illustration was constantly in demand, appearing regularly in The Guardian and the Economist. Gloucestershire-based Lo's lifelong love of children's books have now led to his unforgettable animal characters being published around the world. His stories have been nominated for the Carnegie Medal in illustration and shortlisted for the Sheffield Children's Book Award.
