This document contains the report of the twenty-ninth session of the Committee on Fisheries (COFI). In this meeting the Committee reviewed issues of in international character, the FAO programme of work in fisheries and aquaculture, adopted the Guidelines For The Ecolabelling Of Fish And Fish Products From Inland Capture Fisheries, supported FAO's role and effort to improve the integration of fisheries and aquaculture development and management, biodiversity conservation and environmental protection and reaffirmed FAO as the primary source of scientific expertise and advice regarding global issues on fisheries and aquaculture.
