Reviews
This book poses timely questions for the Church as it engages with the fast-changing nature of society. Drawing on biblical sources and insights from contemporary theologians and sociologists, David Heywood explores the foundations of Christian mission. He argues that it is rooted in the nature of God and proposes that mission be re-imagined as 'whole-life' discipleship in the world. This incarnational approach makes an important contribution to the ongoing debate about the future of the Church's mission and ministry in the twenty-first century. -- Alan Smith
