Description

This book provides first-hand guidance for those involved in nurse education who are interested in the introduction of this exciting new strategy for teaching and learning. The suitability of problem-based learning (PBL) as a philosophy for nurse education in the new millennium is discussed through a series of reflective accounts by educationalists who have successfully implemented PBL. Topics covered include the nature of PBL, developing a problem-based curriculum, facilitor preparation, distance learning and assessment for PBL.

'This is an exciting and timely text which captures the nature of problem-based learning and how it may be used in a variety of settings in pre-registration and post-registration nursing and midwifery. Practical ideas, advice and guidance are offered to those involved in the introduction of this teaching and learning strategy. The authors deliberately and successfully uncover relevant issues and discuss the many challenges faced when developing and implementing this strategy...an essential read to all those involved in health care delivery, whether that is as a practitioner, manager or educationalist.' - Joanne Bennett, Health and Social Care in the Community

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
