Coal swamp vegetation is followed by the more sparse Permian floras, which preceded what was the earth's most profound extinction event. About the Author
Bruce L. Stinchcomb has been fascinated with fossils since childhood. Over the years, the author acquired an extensive collection of Paleozoic fossil plants, which forms part of the basis of this work. He also has written nine other Schiffer books on fossils and other geo-collectables.
