Description

Strong Old Oak is a haven for all creatures in his magnificent hedgerow. In this, his mast year, he has one little acorn that is very dear to him. When he is carried off by a squirrel, Little Acorn must survive the perils of hungry deer and curious walkers. A brave little sapling emerges in this tale of regeneration, growth and the cycle of life.

About the Author
Elena Mannion lives in a small, historic village surrounded by nature. A keen walker and nature lover who takes her holidays in a far flung forest, she is passionate about keeping children connected to the natural world, as well as fostering a love of reading. 'Children's stories take us back to the magical place where we all started: we can rediscover all those feelings of freedom and a world full of promise.' Erin Brown is a Northern Irish illustrator who lives on beautiful Jersey. After graduating in Fine Art, a passion for children's books took hold. She combines her love for hand drawn lines and traditional techniques with the freedom of adding colour digitally. When not working, she can be found baking, exploring, or down at the sea shore. This is her second collaboration with Elena Mannion, their first book being the much praised 'The Happy Hedgerow' (2021), also featuring Old Oak.

Reviews

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
