About the Author
Harvey Edgington was London's first full-time film officer, having created the role at the London Borough of Greenwich. Harvey swapped housing estates for country estates by setting up the National Trust Filming and Locations Office in 2003, a department he has headed up ever since.
Lauren Taylor has worked in the National Trust's Filming and Locations Office since 2005, most recently as Filming and Locations Manager. Her first shoot was Pride and Prejudice at Basildon Park, still one of the most complex the Trust has ever hosted. She thought it couldn't get much more complicated than building a set within a house, prior to filming involving 200 supporting artists, candles, horses, carriages, dancing and night shoots. She hadn't yet encountered the Poldark toads (see page 33). Lauren has gone on to manage shoots for films and TV dramas as diverse as The Crown, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Bridgerton.
