Description
This book focuses on narrative forms of research and inquiry in music education. It argues the boundaries of what is called "narrative" in research should address forms of data production and representation. The book addresses this line of discourse, through a particular focus on salient features of narrative traditions, suggesting a framework of form in addition to content.
This book contains creative, multilayered, technological, and/or other non-verbal expressions and illustrations. Readers could experience how tales, myths, and stories are illuminated through narrative methodologies. It allows them to gain new knowledge about how we as music teachers often overlook crucial details about students, colleagues, and our own development as musical performers, teachers, and researchers.
