Description

Low-Temperature Energy Systems with Applications of Renewable Energy investigates a wide variety of low-temperature energy applications in residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial areas. It addresses the basic principles that form the groundwork for more efficient energy conversion processes and includes detailed practical methods for carrying out these critical processes. This work considers new directions in the engineering use of technical thermodynamics and energy, including more in-depth studies of the use of renewable sources, and includes worked numerical examples, review questions, and practice problems to allow readers to test their own comprehension of the material. With detailed explanations, methods, models, and algorithms, Low-Temperature Energy Systems with Applications of Renewable Energy is a valuable reference for engineers and scientists in the field of renewable energy, as well as energy researchers and academics.

He defended his PhD dissertation on the problem of gypsum dehydration in a boiling bed under pressure and he is currently researching processes of heat treatment and combustion of various fuels in a boiling bed. Redko Oleksandr is Doctor of technical sciences and Professor, department of Heat, gas supply, ventilation and using WHR at the Kharkiv National University of Construction and Architecture. He defended his Dr. S thesis on the problem of intensification of heat processes in a boiling bed and is currently researching processes of low-grade fuel combustion in a boiling bed. Ronald DiPippo is a geothermal expert and renewable energy consultant.. He is also Chancellor Professor Emeritus and former Associate Dean of Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, United States.

Reviews
"Low-Temperature Energy Systems with Applications of Renewable Energy is a new and useful book published by Academic Press (an imprint of Elsevier), written by a trio of geothermal experts and champions: Drs. Andriy Redko, Oleksandr Redko, and Ronald DiPippo. After reading the excellent summaries ending all nine chapters, I had new respect for the flexibility of geothermal systems and two questions: who decides what low and high mean in an energy project and what is a low-temperature energy system?" --Susan Fox Hodgson, Geothermal Resources Council Bulletin, Vol 49, No.1

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
