The book provides a complete timeline from the very earliest days right up to the modern time a time when a new and even larger container dock is being built and the advent of the new cruise liner terminal this terminal having been at the center of a political and economic argument between Southampton, Liverpool and the EU. The book also speculates as to the future of Liverpool docks, and also, to a lesser extent, the city itself."

About the Author
David Paul was born and brought up in Speke, Liverpool at the end of the Second World War. After training as a Marine Engineer, David often sailed from Liverpool docks on his many voyages to South America with the Pacific Steam Navigation Company. After gaining a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering followed by a Masters degree, David spent most of his career in education. Since his recent retirement David has written 12 published books.
