About the Author
LES PAUL (1915-2009) was an American jazz, country, and blues guitarist, songwriter, luthier, and inventor. He was one of the pioneers of the solid-body electric guitar, which made the sound of rock and roll possible. Among his many honors, Les Paul is the only person to be included in both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the National Inventors Hall of Fame. MICHAEL COCHRAN (West Plains, Missouri) is an award-nominated author, music journalist, and music historian. He also authored Chet Atkins: Me and My Guitars, hailed by Guitar Player magazine as possibly the greatest guitar book ever written.
