About the Author
Joseph Agonito, Ph.D. is author or co-author of two books and numerous popular and scholarly articles and has produced and directed three film documentaries. In all three instances he has been recognized nationally for his work, winning the 2006 Western Heritage Award for Outstanding Western Novel (co-authored), the 1999 Sellers Memorial Award for an Outstanding Original Contribution Published in Nebraska History and three film awards for his documentary work. Agonito has lectured widely on these and other topics.
