By introducing readers to national perspectives of issues relating to rape, the book presents a comparative approach that highlights the similarities and differences between countries, contexts, laws, key issues, policies and interventions. It is recommended for academics, students, practitioners and policy makers.
About the Author
Nicole Westmarland is a lecturer in criminal justice at Durham University where she researches violence against women. She is a feminist academic activist, and is involved in the Rape Crisis movement. Geetanjali Gangoli works at the Centre for the Study of Gender and Violence, School for Policy Studies, University of Bristol. She has published in many areas of violence against women, including prostitution, trafficking, forced marriage and domestic violence.
