About the AuthorDr Carolyn Webster-Stratton is a licensed clinical psychologist, nurse practitioner, and Professor Emeritus at the University of Washington. Over the past four decades, she has developed and researched the Incredible Years Parent, Teacher and Children's series that consists of interlocking, evidence-based programs designed to promote children's social, emotional and academic competence and to prevent and reduce behaviour problems. She has been the recipient of the prestigious National Mental Health Research Scientist Award and awards from American Academy of Pediatrics, American Psychological Association and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies Parenting Group. She is the mother of two, a grandmother, and lives in Seattle with her husband.
