About the AuthorRaana Bokhari lectures on Islam and Muslim women at Lancaster and Cardiff universities in the UK. She is a qualified solicitor and is currently completing a doctorate at the Faculty of Divinity, University of Cambridge. Dr Mohammad Seddon is a lecturer in Muslim Studies in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Chester, UK. His publications include British Muslims Between Assimilation and Segregation: Historical, Legal & Social Realities (2004). Charles Phillips, contributor, is author of more than 20 books, including histories of religion. Dr Riad Nourallah, consultant, is Senior Lecturer at the Diplomatic Academy of London. He has a PhD from the University of Cambridge and has taught at the American University of Beirut, and Durham and Cambridge universities in the UK.
