Description
Dora really, really doesn't like parties! They are too loud and too busy. Maybe she won't have to go if a gorilla steals her party dress or if a giant frog eats her shoe!
But...what if Dora could find a nice quiet place at the party, and someone else who doesn't like noisy parties? Then they could have a lovely time - in their own way. and that would be...absolutely, completely, totally and perfectly OK!

Reviews
"A heart-warming story about friendship and having the courage to be yourself."
-- The Bookseller"I Really, Really Don't Like Parties is a perfect title for supporting the very young with their first explorations into the world of children's parties, or indeed any example of attending their first events without an adult. This can be a daunting and difficult step for some children, especially those who are naturally quieter or more reserved and this book does a great job of reminding them that their preferences are just as valid and, critically, that there are others who will share their preference for peace."
* School Reading List *"Angie Morgan's illustrations of Dora's excuse sequence are both hilarious and heartfelt. She cleverly uses humour - visual and verbal - to convey a very important message: we are all different in our response to loud, busy situations and Dora's feelings about them are perfectly valid."
* Red Reading Hub *"This is a lovely story about taking a risk and challenging your own expectations. It shows there are lots of ways to enjoy yourself, and not everyone wants to be loud. The illustrations are lively and amusing and the varied text style adds to the book's appeal."
