Description

A people person is someone who brings out the best in themselves and others.

Is this you?

Being a human in today's world isn't always easy. In the constant whirlwind of our demanding lives it's all too common to lose sight of the bigger picture, to lose our connection to others and, most of all, to lose ourselves. It can leave us exhausted, overwhelmed and questioning whether this is as good as it gets.

But there is another way.

It's a kind, brave and brilliant way which energises and empowers you to bring out the best in yourself, others and make the world a better place.

Using a unique and exciting blend of proven psychology, the latest neuroscience, traditional wisdoms, and bang-up-to-date leadership best practice, Lara Cullen redefines what it means to be a people person in today's disconnected world and shows how three simple ways of being can release you to:

  • Be happier and more successful doing what you love
  • Reduce stress, boost wellbeing and build resilience
  • Lead and inspire with authenticity and impact
  • Grow in confidence and self-acceptance
  • Create healthy boundaries for improved relationships
  • Find more meaning and purpose in life and work

Make no mistake, this isn't a book about social skills or how to work a room. This is a smart and powerful framework for living, working and leading that equips and inspires you to truly be yourself, at your best and to help others do the same.

The world is waiting. Are you ready?

About the Author

After 15 years in HR and leadership roles for global consumer brands, Lara Cullen spread her wings to do things her way. In 2019 she founded The People Person Ltd, a coaching and development consultancy for companies and individuals with big dreams, big hearts and rebellious souls.

Half-Irish, half-Spanish and adopted Londoner, Lara now excels as an executive and personal coach, speaker and facilitator. Her renowned warmth, energy and insight has led her to become a sought after and trusted coach to individuals, celebrities, leaders and professionals in the UK and overseas. She also works with organisations that are (or aspire to be) kind, brave and brilliant, helping them bring out the best in their people and do great things.

How to be a People Person is Lara's first book. She hopes it will make the world a better place.

Reviews
Practical, readable and meticulously researched. An utterly compulsive read. Written with Lara's characteristic warmth, in a world awash with personal development books, this genuinely stands out from the crowd. The ultimate guide to being a better person and bringing out the best in those around you. I'll be dipping back in and out of it again and again. - Marie Claire
Teaching people how to bring out the best in themselves, and others, this clear and concise guide is divided into sections based on Lara's maxim, Be Kind, be Brave, be Brilliant. It weaves together psychology, neuroscience, wellbeing and leadership best practise in an easy-to-follow framework. Illustrated with people's anecdotes, this excellent book promotes self-acceptance, inclusivity, and compassion. - The Irish Examiner
How to Be A People Person isn't about working a room or getting a promotion, but about steps to finding your best self, taking in all elements of life and in all its imperfections. Subtitled Be Kind. Be Brave. Be Brilliant, it's full of advice and practical steps, and might be just what you need as you begin to navigate re-entry into the office, your social circle or life in general. - The Irish Independent, rated as a 'necessity purchase'

One of the best online booksellers out there.

I always check Booksplease before looking at other online sellers because in many instances, particularly with older titles, their books are a lot cheaper. There is added postage, but when you add this to the overall cost you are still spending less than you would otherwise pay elsewhere.
