James Claude Beasley tells his personal story of service in the US Navy during World War II. Born in 1924 he was a typical teenager in the 1940's, a product of the Great Depression. How he dealt with discipline and commands, making important decisions, continuous dangers as well as strange dreams and deaths are all personal matters he had to face.
