Description

Fukushima Accident: 10 Years After, Second Edition evaluates the post-Fukushima situation with up-to-date information, emphasizing radionuclide impacts on terrestrial and marine environments, comparing them to pre-Fukushima levels of radionuclides in the environment. The book is based on scientific results and knowledge gathered from literature, and provides information on the present status of these topics, summarizes ten years of data on the Fukushima accident, and describes the present situation in the local, regional, and global time and space scales. This second edition features a new section on radiation doses, detailing the sources and effects on health and the environment. The book provides data on radioactivity released into the atmosphere and the ocean, the distribution of radionuclides in the world atmosphere and oceans, and their impact on the total environment, including assessments of radiation doses in Japanese and world populations from consumption of terrestrial food and seafood. The book goes on to describe future aspects of the radioactive contamination of these environments and health implications. This reference informs environmental scientists, academics and researchers in environmental science and nuclear energy, as well as postgraduate students in the field of environmental science, radioactivity, and nuclear energy, on the present situation of radioactive contamination in Japan and the world as a whole. Other new material includes the implications of radionuclides in the local environment for local food and water sources and a comparison of the Chernobyl and Fukushima nuclear accidents.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
