She is also the author of the celebrated Frommer's EasyGuide to Chicago. About Frommer's: There's a reason that Frommer's has been the most trusted name in travel for more than sixty years. Arthur Frommer created the best-selling guide series in 1957 to help American servicemen fulfill their dreams of travel in Europe, and since then, we have published thousands of titles became a household name helping millions upon millions of people realize their own dreams of seeing our planet. Travel is easy with Frommer's.

The Frommer Travel Show: Weekly radio show on WABC, heard every Saturday from 3-4pm ET in 17 states. Re-purposed as a very popular podcast, available on ITunes and other sites. Hosts: Pauline Frommer and Jason Cochran The Travel Show: Weekly radio show syndicated nationally on Radio America. Also a popular podcast, available on ITunes and elsewhere. Hosts: Arthur Frommer and Pauline Frommer Syndicated newspaper columns: Distributed by King Features, and seen in newspapers across the United States and Canada. Two weekly by Arthur Frommer, one by Pauline Frommer Keynote speeches: Every year Pauline and Arthur Frommer make personal appearances across the United States at Travel Shows and other venues. In 2017/2018, these included appearances at the New York Times Travel Show, the Boston Globe Travel Show, the Minneapolis Star Tribune Travel Show and the Travel and Adventure Shows held in Los Angeles, San Diego, the Bay Area, Philadelphia and Chicago. All were supported by major advertising campaigns, with mentions of the Frommer guidebooks. TV Appearances: In the last five years, Pauline Frommer has appeared multiple times on Good Morning America, The Today Show, the NBC Evening News, the ABC Evening News, CNN, MSNBC, Fox, and Inside Edition. In addition, all of the travel show speeches (see above) require appearances on local TV and radio stations, to boost those shows and the books. Other Media: Quoted in multiple articles by the Associated Press, including one coming up in June on Pauline's tips for visiting New York City (which will be paired with an AP podcast on that topic). Frommer's, and Arthur and Pauline Frommer, were the subject of a feature article in the magazine that has the largest circulation on earth, AARP's magazine. We have also recently appeared in print and/or online versions of Real Simple, Forbes, Travel & Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, Money Magazine, and other magazines, along with newspapers and blogs. Appearances for the last three years on Rick Steve's radio show, as well as other NPR shows. Web campaigns 2017/2018: Partnership with the nation of Peru to promote Frommer's EasyGuide to Lima, Cusco and Machu Picchu with a major contest. Partnership with the nation of Colombia to promote Frommer's EasyGuide to Colombia. Partnership/contest with HomeAway.com to promote the 60th anniversary (2017) of the Frommer's brand. And Frommers.com continues to be an important presence on the web with 3 million unique users per month. Social Media: Frommer's maintains an active social media presence and has 150,000 Twitter followers (which is 60,000 more than Rick Steves), 31,000 followers on Facebook, 22,000 followers on Instagram. Unlike our competitors, we delete all bots, so these are real numbers, not inflated ones. We've also done numerous successful ad campaigns on Facebook in the last year.

About the Author
As a travel journalist, Kate Silver is always on the lookout for her next adventure. She's written about eating bull meat in Pamplona, Spain; waded in cranberry marshes in Wisconsin; jumped off the rocky cliffs of Wales' Pembrokeshire Coast into the cold ocean; cycled from Chicago to Canada; toured Holland on two wheels; walked (a very, very slow and meandering) DIY marathon through the Windy City; spent quiet nights in monasteries in towns throughout the United States and met countless incredible people along the way. She lives in Chicago and has literally written the book(s) on the city: Frommer's Chicago Day by Day 2019 and Frommer's EasyGuide to Chicago 2015. Silver has been writing professionally for nearly 20 years, first on staff at a newspaper in Las Vegas (Las Vegas Weekly) and now, freelance. Her work appears in Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Saveur, Men's Health, O, the Oprah Magazine, Midwest Living, Eating Well and other publications. She also regularly writes Chicago hotel reviews for The Telegraph in the UK. When she's not traveling, Silver loves spending time with her husband, biking and eating their way around the Chicago, where, after nearly a decade of residency, they're still discovering new beauty and intrigue.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
