Description
One Reporter.
Three Dead.
Five Knives.
In the pulsating thrum of San Francisco, rookie crime reporter Will Finch is about to break open the story of a lifetime.
When a man plummets to his death from a high-rise apartment tower, Will Finch's initial shock spirals into a harrowing nightmare. His eyes are drawn to the open windows above the lifeless body, where a flickering lamp casts an ominous signal from the eleventh floor. A message of distress that cannot be ignored.
As Finch enters the apartment, he discovers a woman handcuffed to a bedpost. Her eyes hold the terror of someone who knows too much about the dead man lying on the street below.
In the week that follows, Finch delves deeper, uncovering a conspiracy that ties the death to a web of deception. A sudden bankruptcy. A global stock fraud scheme. And a murderous spree that began in the deserts of Baghdad, only to haunt the citizens of San Francisco. Is it the work of a ruthless serial killer, a cunning copycat, or something far more sinister?
As he races to compile his report for The San Francisco Post, Finch's leads vanish into thin air. Within days, three more lives are claimed by a merciless killer. Will the pattern of five knife wounds provide the key to unlocking this chilling mystery? Can Finch unravel the twisted truth before he-and his fiancee-are ensnared in a deadly game of cat and mouse?
