Most small-fly books concentrate on the fly patterns, but presentation and tactics are just as important as the pattern itself. Covered too are special considerations for rods and reels for small-fly fishing and tactics for light tippets. Engle describes fishing specific waters, including tailwaters, freestone rivers, and spring creeks.

The 158 pages cover many aspects of fishing and I particularly enjoyed the sections on observation that include how to interpret rises... If you are interested in fishing smaller flies or just after some advice on fishing rivers I'd give this book a go if you haven't already got it.
