About the Author
Caillan Davenport is Associate Professor in Roman History at Macquarie University and the author of A History of the Roman Equestrian Order (Cambridge, 2019), which won the Royal Historical Society's Gladstone Prize. He has received an Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Researcher Award and an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship. Christopher Mallan is Senior Lecturer in Classics and Ancient History at the University of Western Australia. He is the author of Cassius Dio. Roman History Books 57-58 (The Reign of Tiberius) (2020).
