About the Author

Smriti Halls, published in the US as Smriti Prasadam-Halls, is the author of the Publishers Weekly number one bestseller I Love You Night and Day, illustrated by Alison Brown. Her other titles include the critically acclaimed Rain Before Rainbows, The Way of the Wolf, and I'm Sticking With You. The Little Island, illustrated by Robert Starling and described by Axel Scheffler as "Animal Farm for our time..., was named as a Sunday Times Best Children's Book 2019, a Big Issue Kids' Book of the Year 2019, and is currently shortlisted for the 2020 Teach Primary Awards and the 2020 Little Rebels Award. Smriti works extensively with the Bedtime Stories Prison Project, helping parents in prison stay connected with their children through stories, and is BookTrust's Writer in Residence.

Ella Okstad is an illustrator based in based in Trondheim, Norway. She graduated from Kent Institute of Art and Design Maidstone UK in 2000 and has since worked with publishers and design agencies in Norway, UK and US. Her books have been translated into over 15 languages. She illustrated the bestselling picture book, Sophie Johnson: Unicorn Expert.

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.

Found a hard to get book…

Finding a hard to get book on Booksplease and with it not being an over inflated price was great. Ordering was really easy with updates on despatch. The book was packaged well and in great condition. I will certainly use them again.
