About the Author
Dugald Steer (Author)
Dugald Steer was born in 1965 and grew up in Surrey, where his love of books and reading led him to study English Literature and Philosophy at Bristol. Several jobs later Dugald began working at Templar Publishing, where he worked his way up to Senior Editor, writing and editing many books in house. He has written more than 100 books for Templar and, after going freelance to concentrate on writing, he authored the first eight books in their hugely successful 'Ology series. Dugald lives near Barcelona in Spain with his wife Ana and his two children.

Ian Andrew (Illustrator)
Ian Andrew studied animation at the Royal College and Croydon College of Art, and illustration at Camberwell College of Arts and Crafts. He has worked for many clients on both animated work and book illustration. Ian illustrated the animated film Dolphins, which screened at a number of festivals including the London Film Festival. In addition to producing artwork for the best-sellig Egyptology, Pirateology, Monsterology and Spyology, Ian also illustrated Water Boy, by Ros Asquith, and The Boat, by Helen Ward, which was shortlisted for the 2005 Kate Greenaway Medal.

Helen Ward (Illustrator)
Helen Ward trained as an illustrator at Brighton School of Art, under the direction of well-known children's illustrators such as Raymond Briggs, Justin Todd, Chris McEwan and John Vernon Lord. In her final year at Brighton, Helen was awarded the first Walker Prize for Children's Illustration. Awards for Helen's work include The National Art Library Award for The Tin Forest and, in 2003, the The Cockerel and the Fox was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Award. Helen lives in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

Nick Harris (Illustrator)
Nick has been a full-time children's book illustrator since 1982. After 20 years spent doing traditional media watercolour and ink for such projects as Wind in the Willows, Firework-Maker's Daughter and Dragon Quest, Nick moved into digital artwork production around 2000. He has produced artwork for some of the popular 'Ology' series by Templar publishing. He lives with his wife and two mad beagles In Gloucester, UK.

Fast and efficient way to choose and receive books

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.

Found a hard to get book…

Finding a hard to get book on Booksplease and with it not being an over inflated price was great. Ordering was really easy with updates on despatch. The book was packaged well and in great condition. I will certainly use them again.
