Beth Steel is an exciting new playwright, with a unique, brave voice and Ditch is her first full-length play Publication to coincide with the world premiere of the play, a Hightide production which will play at the Hightide Festival 30 April - 3 May, before transferring to the Old Vic Tunnels, London, for a site-specific run of 7 weeks, 12 May - 30 June Richard Twyman directs the premiere, following his triumphant Royal Shakespeare Company production of Henry IV Part II as part of the RSC Histories Season, which he Associate Directed and which won Olivier Awards for Best Revival, Best Ensemble and Best Costume

Beth Steel is a new playwright currently on attachment to Theatre 503, London as one of their prestigious 503Five Writers group. This is her first full-length play.
