About the Author
Mark Newby is a Solicitor admitted in 1993 and a Higher Court advocate. He is Head of Litigation at Jordans Solicitors LLP and specialises in Criminal Defence Work. Mark is recognised as a miscarriage of justice specialist having been involved in a number of nationally reported miscarriage of justice cases.
Mark is a Member of the Law Society Council for Yorkshire, Chair of the Law Society Scrutiny, Performance and Review Committee and sits on the Law Society Crime Committee, he sits on the Forensics Reform Programme Board at the Ministry of Justice, the Court of Appeal User Committee and the Criminal Cases Review Committee Stakeholder Group. He is the Co- Chair of the Crime Contracts Consultative Group (CCCG) with the Legal Aid Agency.
