About the AuthorChrys Salt began her career as a performer in Rep, touring theatre, West End, TV and radio dramas wi th regular stints in various soap and series. She now directs extensively in theatre and sound, and has written a number of books, including Making Acting Work, as well as theatre and radio plays. She is the editor of the five other books in the same series: The Methuen Book of Modern Monologues for Men and Women, Contemporary Monologues for Men and Women, and Classical Monologues for Men. She run s her own theatre company and teaches regularly at the London Actors Centre.
