Reviews
'Why was this book not written earlier? Why could Jonna Jepsen not find anything to refer to when she was asked where one could find information about all the problems that prematurely born children can run into later on in their lives? In my opinion it is a matter of perspective. As a parent, as an ardent person behind the Danish Society for Premature Children [Dansk Praematur Forening], as a lecturer to parents and to professionals within social services and health care, and through extensive reading, Jonna Jepsen has achieved a unique perspective: one that focuses upon the pain caused by the disadvantaged start, the respect for the little miracle that every child is, and the will to find solutions to the problems. One cannot help being impressed by this, and I believe that this book is very valuable. It shows what can be achieved through solid perseverance. I think that the reason why a book such as this has not been written before is because no one coming from any other perspective could try to cover so many professionals areas, be open to so many different information sources, and have such faith in the many and varied kinds of treatment.'- Gorm Greisen, MD, from the Foreword, Professor, Paediatrician at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen
