About the AuthorReza Karimi, RPh, PhD is Deanat Pacific University Oregon School of Pharmacy. Dr. Karimi received his MS in pharmacy in 1991 and his PhD in molecular biology in 1998 from Uppsala University, Sweden. He completed a three-year post-doctoral training fellowship in protease biochemistry in Reno, NV in 2002. He then became a full-time faculty member at LECOM School of Pharmacy in Erie, PA, where he later assumed two director positions: Director of the Student Promotion and Retention program; and Director of the Post Baccalaureate (pre-pharmacy) program. Dr. Karimi has written numerous articles and books and has received the following national awards: 2010 AACP Innovations in Teaching and the 2010 AACP Excellence in Assessment.
