About the Author
Mark W. Dewalt, director of graduate studies and professor of educational research in the College of Education at Winthrop University, was recently named as the Bank of America Endowed Professor 2007-2010. Dr. Dewalt has been studying rural education and Amish culture for more than 20 years.

Found a hard to get book…
