Description

This concise volume provides brief original reading matter to illustrate key features of Greek grammar and syntax. Each chapter begins with an account of the grammatical issue in question; this is then followed by a selection of passages from Greek literature, some shorter, some longer, covering a wide range of authors, and of considerable intrinsic interest.

About the Author
James Morwood went on from the post of Head of Classics at Harrow School to take charge of the teaching of the Greek and Latin languages at Oxford University, where he is at present an Emeritus Fellow of Wadham College. He has authored and co-authored many books on the classical languages and literature. Stephen Anderson was educated at Trinity College, Dublin and St John's College, Cambridge. Since 1980 he has taught at Winchester College, where he was Head of Classics from 1984 to 2008 and is currently Senior Tutor. He is co-author of a number of classical textbooks widely used in both schools and universities.

Reviews
A Little Greek Reader has excellent passage selections and is the kind of textbook that can promote lively classroom discussions. * Blaise Nagy, College of the Holy Cross *
This is a wonderful book! Morwood and Anderson have chosen a great range of canonical authors in both prose and poetry, and the passages are challenging without being impossible or infuriating. * Richard Rader, University of California, Santa Barbara *
An excellent book, then, for combining details of purpose clauses while deepening understanding of the Greek world. * Alex Smith, Classics for All *

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
